5th place for @femkegerritse in the last stage of Tour de Normandie. Race review from Femke: ‘We started with a plan and executed it very well. We wanted to make a hard race and especially the final. The last hour of the race we started attacking one by one to make the rest tired and hopefully with one that could make it. 5 km before the finish Margot did a super strong solo but caught back 1 km before the finish.
Femke had a good position into the sprint and finished 5th in the stage.
We improved a lot the past three days as a team.’

Race review stage 2 an 6th place for @margot_vanpachtenbeke ‘A less hectic day than in stage 1, but the ride started after 10km with a bike change. We carried out the plan with several attack attempts by the girls, unfortunately nothing stayed away. During the last local laps, Quinty made a good attempt, but this one was also taken back. On the penultimate climb I also tried to get away, but there was really not much left to do. In the end we sprinted for Femke, who rode so strong all day, but was boxed in at an important moment on the last final climb. I was in a better position at the time and got 6th.’ ... Stage 1 of Tour de Normandie Féminin. A hectic day with a lot of crashes, our girls rode really well in front and participated in many attack attempts. Quinty went for a solo breakaway, but unfortunately had some mechanical problems. Pictures made by our photographer @bastiengason and as always the pictures are stunning 🤩 ... Lees meerLees minder

Danilith Nokere Koerse race review from Marith who finished 41th :

The first hour we rode very well together as a team. It is always nice if you can race as a team because you are just a little more 'reassured' and this motivates you even more. Due to some falls and illness + the course that broke open, Sofie and I were left in the 2nd group, together we were able to hold on to this group. Sofie drove very strong and tried to break the group but still we went with the group to the finish, were I could still win the sprint and Sofie also finished in this group.
Some mixed feelings about this race because we both would have liked to have been in the first group… but we will take the positive feeling and the team feeling with us and try to do better next week in Bruges-de Panne!
Nokere will always be one of my favorite races 😁 Hope the other girls are better soon too!
